It’s banking that belongs to you.

At Greenville Federal Credit Union, you're more than a customer.

You're a Member-Owner.

Become part of a movement that’s helping nearly

0 Americans

keep more of their money and take control of their financial future.

You profit because we don't.®

Big banks prioritize profits, often at the expense of their customers, with rising fees, confusing terms, and decisions disconnected from your community.

We reinvest our earnings back into our members through:

Better Rates

Fewer Fees

More Free Services

Here’s how we’re different (and better.)

Not-for-Profit, Member-Owned

We’re a not-for-profit financial cooperative, meaning we don’t answer to outside shareholders or prioritize profit margins. Instead, we return earnings to you through better loan rates, higher savings returns, and fewer fees.

When you bank with us, you invest in your future and your community.

When you join a credit union, you’re a member and an owner. Every member gets one vote, no matter how much they have on deposit. That’s real economic democracy.

Our board of directors is made up of members just like you. They’re elected by the membership and serve voluntarily to guide our decisions with your best interests in mind, not a paycheck.

As a credit union, we pay payroll taxes, sales taxes, and property taxes. We’re exempt from federal income tax because we operate as a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative with a mission to serve people of all income levels, especially those of modest means.

The Credit Union Membership Access Act states:

“Credit unions, unlike many other participants in the financial services market, are exempt from Federal and most State taxes because credit unions are member-owned, democratically operated, not-for-profit organizations generally managed by volunteer boards of directors and because they have the specified mission of meeting the credit and savings needs of consumers, especially persons of modest means.”

Credit unions are rooted in a simple philosophy: people helping people. We’re here to serve, not profit. That mission drives our support for members in tough times and our involvement in local charitable efforts and community causes.

At Greenville Federal Credit Union, we believe in a holistic approach to financial wellness. From goal setting, budgeting basics, tips, tricks, financial counseling, and everything in between, we are your financial partner for the road ahead. From Greer Relief, Parent Cafe, Greenville County High Schools, and Career Centers, we pride ourselves on our award-winning Financial Education.
