COVID-19 UPDATE: July 3, 2020 – Greenville Federal Credit Union has closed its Mauldin and Wade Hampton branch lobbies due to a confirmed
case of COVID-19 among employees at each location. Immediately upon learning of the positive test confirmations, all staff who had direct contact with the affected employees were sent to get tested and consult with medical professionals. Both locations will be cleaned and sanitized per CDC and DHEC guidelines.
The drive-thrus at both locations will remain open for cash/check teller transactions. The credit union will reopen the Mauldin and Wade Hampton lobbies when all health safety guidelines are appropriately met, and enough staffing is available to effectively support the lobbies.
Mask use has been mandated for all credit union branch employees since June 29, and protective sneeze guards are in place throughout all member service offices.
“The credit union has two priorities during the pandemic – caring for our employees by maintaining a healthy work environment and safely providing essential service for members,” said Paul Hughes, President and CEO. “Closing these lobbies was the right thing to do to protect our staff, our members, and the community, and we will continue to make these hard
decisions without hesitation.” All employees impacted by quarantine and temporary lobby closures will continue to receive their full pay and benefits. In the meantime, the Pelham Road and Greer branch lobbies are open for loans, membership, and new accounts, all drive-thrus are open for transactions, and the Contact Center is available to handle nearly all banking needs by phone (800.336.6309). Additionally, Online and Mobile Banking and PhoneBranch are available to members 24/7.
Please contact the credit union at 800.336.6309 with any questions or concerns.
We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding as we work to ensure a safe reopening of our branch lobbies.
